
L is for Lesbian: A woman who is sexually and romantically attracted to other women.
G is for Gay: A man who is sexually and romantically attracted to other men.
B is for Bisexual: A man or woman who is sexually and romantically attracted to both men and women.
T is for Transsexual: A person who identifies as and lives as the opposite sex from what they were physically born as, including a physical sex change.
T is for Transgendered: A person who identifies as a gender different from their physical sex (e.g. Feeling “trapped in the wrong body”).
I is for Intersexual/Intersexed: A person who is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that is different from typical male or female.
Q is for Queer: An umbrella term used by some individuals to describe members of sexual minorities.
Q is for Questioning: A person who feels uncertain about their sexuality, gender or identity.
2S is for 2-Spirited: A First Nations term to describe someone who fulfills one of many mixed gender roles found among First Nations people.
and let’s not forget …
A is for Asexual: A person who is not interested in or does not desire sexual activity.
P is for Pansexual:A person who feels the potential for attraction, desire and romantic relationships towards people of all gender identities and biological sexes. Pansexuality (aka omnisexuality) deliberately rejects the idea that there are only two genders; pansexuals are open to relationships with people who do not identify as strictly men or women (Source: Wikipedia “Pansexuality“).
A is for Allies: Heterosexual people who actively work to advocate for, support and promote equal rights for non-heterosexual people and groups.
H is for Heterosexual: A man or woman who is sexually and romantically attracted to members of the opposite sex (identifies as “straight”).
