The Public Health Agency of Canada has published a number of great resources pertaining to sexuality. In particular, The Canadian Guidelines for Sexual Health Education:
“provides a framework that outlines principles for the development and evaluation of comprehensive evidence-based sexual health education. Guideline statements support each principle and provide the context for effective and inclusive sexual health education programs and policies in Canada.”
Our work at Sex Ed Central follows the Guidelines outlined by Public Health, including that which states: “Effective sexual health education should be provided in an age-appropriate, culturally sensitive manner that is respectful of individual sexual diversity, abilities and choices.” We strive to meet and exceed the expectations laid out in the Guidelines.
